Create 365 - Geek Chic Crochet Hat

FINALLY finished!  I have to confess, I do not like this hat anymore ;)  I tend to be a bit impatient and this pattern, while fairly simple, was very repetitive.  I think I'll probably take a break from crochet for a bit and perhaps do a little sewing.

Create 365 - Geek Chic Crochet

Here is the current project in the works for the Create 365 project..

This hat pattern is from the book "Geek Chic Crochet".

Amazon

There are some really adorable patterns in this book!  I love the dress pattern on the cover as well :)

I have been working on the hat in a pretty wine color and I think I'm going to do the ribbon in gray velvet..Still deciding on that ;)

Today's ConstantlyAlice look features a gorgeous green and blue flannel Lanz dress that is PERFECT for the cooler weather (it doesn't get any more cozy than flannel!)  Besides..who doesn't want to channel their inner Angela Chase?  Get your grunge on!

Craft Fair!

This weekend, I set up shop at my very first craft fair!  It was a new experience for me, and while it was small with not a lot of traffic, we did sell enough to make back the cost of our booth plus a little more AND got some great experience.

I had the pleasure of my daughter, Shannon, and my niece, Maddie's company for the afternoon and they were a BIG help.  (Shannon also goes to school in the area, so a lot of her little friends came to visit and kept us entertained ;-)

Maddison also came with her own items for sale, some very clever duck tape pens, pencils, purses and wallets.  She did a great job and sold quite a few!  She also taught Shannon to make them and Shann was able to sell one of her own!

Some of the items I had for sale were these brooches

Magnets
A few necklaces
Earrings
Bracelets (both of the mermaid one's sold and were a huge hit!)

Also for sale were the cowls and hats pictured in the first photo.

We had lots of fun, and are looking forward to doing a few more craft fairs over the holiday season!
